Jerome H. Balthazor

Of Waupaca, age 61, passed away on July 26, 2015, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.  He was born in New London on August 15, 1953 to Helerian and Dorothy (Spoehr) Balthazor.  On September 3, 1988 he married his wife Phyllis.  Jerry was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam Conflict.  He was very patriotic and military oriented.  He worked at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King for 30 years.  Jerry had 46 years of accumulated time in the military.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He enjoyed woodworking and mentoring children in fishing, hunting and woodworking.

He will be sadly missed by his wife: Phyllis; children: Carolee Rilling of Waupaca; Wendy Helbach of Burlington, WI; James and Daniel both of Waupaca; and Katheryn of Texas; mother: Dorothy Balthazor; siblings: Helen Wilson, Michael (Barb) Balthazor, Margaret Douglas, Dianne Warren and James Balthazor, numerous grandchildren and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Helerian.

Private family services will be held.  Burial with full military honors will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King.
