Daniel L. Drake

Of Waupaca, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.  He was born in Bloomington, Indiana on September 30, 1946 to the late Bob and Betty (Hendricks) Drake.  Dan attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca.  He was a veteran of the Air Force, serving during the Vietnam Conflict.  Dan was a heavy equipment operator and was very proud of the many projects he worked on. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, local 841.  He especially loved his family and being a grandpa.

He will be sadly missed by his children: Tim (Michele) Drake of Waupaca; Tamara (Scott) Hubeny of Montana; grandchildren: Andrew and Terry Ketcham, Joe Drake and Ashley Hubeny; brother: Steve (Faye) Drake of Bloomington, IN; other relatives and friends.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary on December 30, 2011.

The Memorial Service will be on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 206 E. Badger. Friends and family may gather at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Military Honors will follow the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to Restoring Hope Transplant House “RHTH” in Middleton, WI.
