I met Bud and Edith while in high school through their son, Tom, and will forever have fond memories of the time spent with them and their family.

Their lives reflected their conviction of faith and the quietl integrity by which they were guided. They nurtured and sustained a loving family fulfilling their promise to God and to each other.

Their progeny will find strength and sustenance in the blissful gifts Bud and Edith bestowed upon them.

May perpetual light shine upon them as they remain reunited forever resting in peace.

It has been well over 40 years since I first met the Meyer family, yet in my heart it feels like yesterday. To be able to experience the love, compassion and genuine friendship one gets from them is truly a blessing. I have often said that I felt like
Edith and Bud were my second parents and I cry today as if they were.

Tom and I lived together for awhile...Tom, Tim, Bud and I hunted together, fished together and shared a great deal of Korbel together...much to Edith's dismay. Yet, it was Edith that always offered the invitation to join the family for Thanksgiving dinner during the deer hunting season. It was also Edith who in 1983 thought that I was drinking vodka from a 175 liter of Smirnoff while cutting wood at Phil's house on a hot fall day (it was water). I watched Rose grow from a fantastic athlete into a women, saw Peg get married, and formed a kinship with Beth that will last forever.

I could go on forever...the memory's etched in my mind and my heart will remain there for as long as I live. But, I will say goodbye for now. On Friday, we can all celebrate life as it should be lead...peace, and God's Blessings to you all.

Tom

Aunt Edith was always a pillar of stability strength courage and class. Even in her final days she sent my future bride and I a precious wedding card via mail. I wept that day knowing her sincere wishes for our joyful union were as always most genuine. I weep today for my cousins loss but rejoice the victory that her unselfish life brought so much joy to so many. Edith and Bud were two of my favorite people on this earth and their torches will proudly be carried on by the shining stars that are Beth Tim, Tom, Peg Rose. and all the grandchildren.
