Dear Aunt Flo;
We are so sorry to hear about Uncle Carlyle. Uncle Carlyle will always be remembered as a happy, kind, life-loving man! He always had a "twinkle in his eye". He was so blessed to have you and your love in his life. We are thinking about you and the family and sending hugs and prayers. Love, Patty, Glenn, Skye and Zev Gragg

Dear Aunt Flo and family,
I am so sad about Uncle Carlyle. I wish I was able to be there with you.

When my mom told me what had happened, she said "Don't be sad. Uncle Carlyle wouldn't want that. " That got me thinking about him, which always brings a smile to my face.

Whenever I see a truck stop, I think of him. He used to take us out to lunch there when I was little. Fireworks make me think about him. (Ask my mom about Grandma and Grandparents Kottke'so 50th anniversary!) And, of course, I think of him whenever I see Santa and I always will.

Know you are loved and in my prayers now and Always!
Tammy

Know that you and Flo have been constantly in my thoughts and heart. As a kid, I always loved coming to your house. Fun was always had by all and you never missed an opportunity to impart some wisdom on me whenever possible. Time spent on the lake with you and my cousins on the pontoon boat or on the launch with a string of canoes bouncing along behind on the way to the Crystal River are some of my favorite memories. You showed me craftsmanship with you sign painting and the value of a subtle joke. Thank you. You are missed. Godspeed,
Your nephew, Mike.

My sympathy to his wife and to the family. Carl was absolutely my most favorite teacher that I had when I was in school. 1976, 5th grade, a year I will never forget. He was such an inspiration to me and was the best teacher I ever had. For many years I would hire him to come to my home where I had a state licensed daycare and be Santa. The kids just absolutely loved that they thought that it was the coolest thing ever. I so enjoyed talking with him and he will be truly missed.

He was a teacher for one of my girls in grade school. He was a very nice man and we said hello to each other all through the years. He will be missed.
