William Mykel Obituary

Of the Wisconsin Veterans Home, age 79, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021.  He was born in Waupaca on May 28, 1942 to the late William and Mary (Peterson) Mykel. On October 1, 1966 he married Laura Rice.  Bill worked for George Whiting Paper Mill in Menasha for all his working career.  He was a Boy Scout and Cub Scout Leader for many years.  Bill was a member of Whiting Baptist Church in Neenah and then a member and deacon of Saxeville Baptist Church.  He was an adult Sunday School Teacher for both churches. He was an avid hunter and loved to go to Timber Rattler baseball games. Bill enjoyed leatherwork, photography and wood and rock carving.  He liked to watch the canoers at Parfreyville.

He will be missed by his wife: Laura; children: William Mykel; Mary (Dennis) Ammeter, James (Lane) Mykel; grandchildren: Johnathan William and Jenna Lynn Ammeter; sister: Janet Rader, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard and sisters, Marion, Alice and Marge.
