Victoria Wendt Obituary

Of Waupaca, age 67, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019.  She was born in the Town of Grand Chute, WI on April 7, 1952, the daughter of the late Fred and Joyce (Staples) Lecker.  Victoria married Duane Wendt on June 13, 1992 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, where she also served as an elder.  She worked for Kimberly Clark for 23 years as a receptionist, Quality control, new product development, mill worker and security officer.  Prior to working at Kimberly Clark she worked for Hayes Manufacturing and was the only woman on the line.  Victoria was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Waupaca, where she enjoyed decorating the church through varied seasons.  She enjoyed gardening, snowmobiling, reading, crafts and entertaining family and friends. Victoria also loved canning and driving the ranger until she couldn’t anymore because of two strokes on August 24, 2014.

She is survived by her husband: Duane Wendt of Waupaca; children: Bobbie Jo (Jeremy) Heagle of Seymour; Brett (Erin) Derus of Black Creek; Billie Jean (Jeremy) Barth of Seymour; grandchildren: Maria (Jonathan) Avalos, Cole, Caleb and Christian Derus, Keaton and Kobe Barth, great grandchildren: Adrian and Liliana Avalos, step–daughter: Lorie (Chad) Dorn of Kaukauna; step- grandchildren: Cameron and Ava Dorn; siblings: Sandy Geiger, Kathy (John) Peotter, Fred (Rhonda) Lecker, Judy (Neil) Fischer; Penny (Chris) Van Camp, Tim (Cheryl) Lecker, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Harvey and Stella Wendt, brothers, Gary and Jeff Lecker.

The Funeral Service will be on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, E1887 King Rd.  The visitation will be on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 7p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home and again on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral.  Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery, West Bloomfield.  In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
