Of Waupaca, age 84, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Manawa on December 20, 1941 to the late Wilbur and Fern Vaughan. Tom was a veteran of the US Air Force. He worked in maintenance at the Waupaca Foundry and also worked at Jelly Stone Campground in Fremont. He enjoyed gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, cooking and foraging and spending time working around his house.
He is survived by his wife: Wendy; children: Chris (Nariko) Vaughan, Mike Vaughan, Cheryl Vaughan, Jeff (Tina) Vaughan, Doug Vaughan, Gary (Arica) Vaughan and Jeremy Vaughan; sister: Marge Deuber; step children: Didi Ewing, Jackie (Matt) Ewing and Reid (Shannon) Ewing; grandchildren; great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Hugh.
There will be an Open House on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at his home, N2346 Vaughan Road, Waupaca.
