Thomas J. Nieling

Of Waupaca, age 74, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025.  He was born in Kaukauna on February 7, 1951 to the late Alvin and Wilma (Rohloff) Nieling.  Tom’s first job was as a car hop at Mary’s A &W; he always spoke fondly of this job.  He then worked at Weld-Motion from 1969 until 1983. Asten-Johnson from 1983 until 2003, this is the job where he met his future wife, Lynn. He then worked at Kraft Foods from 2003 until 2013 and finally at Nieling Consulting LLC from 2013 until retirement in 2015.  Tom was a member of Faith Community Church. Tom took his faith in Jesus very seriously. He would want everyone to know of the hope and life that he found in Jesus.  He enjoyed plants and gardening, camping, fishing, photography, sewing, ham radio, his call was K9TJN; cooking and baking. He was a life time member of the NRA, BASS and The International Freelance Photographer’s Organization.

He will be missed by his loving wife: Lynn; brother: James (Kay) Nieling and nephews: Michael (Sara) and Nicky (Heidi); step sister: Val (Jeff) Rosenow; step brother: Gary (Lea) Rohloff; sister-in-law: Carol (Rod) Marquette; special cousin: Nellie Schuch, faithful dogs: Brandy, Brandy, Kalahan, Tanner, Rayna and numerous cats, other relatives and friends.

The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Faith Community Church, N2541 County Road K, Waupaca.  The visitation will be on Thursday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Parfreyville Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated for Faith Community Church.
