Of Waupaca, age 57, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on December 5, 1968 to Mark and Marcy (Gould) Newell. Scott grew up in Niagara, WI. After high school Scott attended UW-Platteville. There he made many new friends and memories, and quickly met his best friend, and wife of nearly 34 years, Jeanette.
Scott was a man of God with a deep-rooted faith. He and his wife have three forever children: Ben, Jack and Tessa, as well as dozens of “for a while” children as foster parents. His kind and supportive nature meant that he would always listen to anyone who needed him. Even though disease caused Scott’s world to shrink, as leaving home became more difficult, the strength of his love and spirit remained. He will be deeply missed by his family that remain as Scott joins his father, Mark, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife and children; mother: Marcy Newell and sister: Dixie (Michael) Youngs.
A Celebration of Scott’s life will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 4 p.m. at Waupaca Christian Church, E2249 King Road. Friends and family may gather at the church from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
To celebrate Scott the family would like you to dress casually, wearing a graphic t-shirt, which Scott found appropriate for all occasions.
