Sanford A. Hanson

Of Rural, age 62 passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026.  He was born in Waupaca on April 6, 1963 to Duane and Carol (Thiel) Hanson.  Sanford liked to hunt and fish and enjoyed trips out west to hunt mule deer.

He will be sadly missed by his parents: Duane and Carol Hanson; daughter: Erin (Gunner) Schutz and granddaughters: Paisley and Sage; sister: Linda (Meryl) Peters; other relatives and friends.

The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 1 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home.  The visitation will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 1p.m.  Burial will be in Rural Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
