Of Wild Rose, age 58 passed away unexpectedly from health issues on Friday, January 17, 2025, at his home. He was born in Wild Rose on September 28, 1966 to the late Eugene and Donna (Hansel) Jenks. He found his love Shane and married her in 2023. Randy had a passion for the great outdoors. It led him to Alaska, South Dakota and Argentina for a red stag hunt but his favorite place to hunt was on the family farm to shoot (DA TURDY POINTER). He helped many friends and family to sight in their guns and reload their ammo. He also enjoyed a day on the lake with his buddy Romy or just going alone to a nearby creek to fish trout. If he wasn’t hunting, he would always be searching for mushrooms or asparagus, when in season. His recent accomplishment was buying a kayak and going out with Shane even though he didn’t like to swim. He loved to hang out at Lauritzen’s (his second family ) to share stories. His laugh and kind heart were infectious and by the end of the conversations between friends, everyone was laughing . Everyone who knew Randy has a story to share about a time or two with him. He had a heart of gold and would try to help out anyone he could, if it was within his means .
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Shane, his sister: Jeanna (John) LaFollette; step daughter: Jennifer (Ryan) Geiger; grandchildren: Noah, Joshua and Adam; sister-in-law: Kimann Soucy; mother-in-law: Sharon (Robert) Cronin, other relatives and his friends, family, and acquaintances, too many to list. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Robert Soucy, grandparents, John and Myrtle Jenks and Oliver and Virginia Hansel.
