Age 84, Long time Waukesha resident, passed away on Monday November 25, 2019 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. He was born in LaFeria, Texas on July 13, 1935 to the late Alonzo and Celia (Gomez) Sanchez. Oscar was a proud Marine and lifelong salesman. He was very proud to have been elected as the first hispanic member of the Waukesha School Board. He loved his dog Lucky Louie more than most people.
He is survived by his children: Richard (Kelley) Sanchez, Laura Nemetz and Christine Schlais, grandchildren: Nathaniel, Cecelia, Sara, David, Karen (Billy), Jayme (Stephanie), Brittany and Athena; great grandkids: Joy, Sahayla, Aiden, Keylee, Rade and Ivana, sister: Angie Llanas. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Sister Maria Sanchez, brother George Sanchez, sister Lola Gonzales, nephew Thomas Llanas and his beloved dog Lucky Louie.
There will be a private family burial in the spring at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King. Special thanks to the Veterans Home in King, WI for their love and care.
