Olive Long Obituary

Olive “Polly” Long

Was welcomed home on Tuesday afternoon October 18, 2022. Polly leapt into the arms of her Lord and Savior, whom she had faithfully served since accepting Jesus into her heart as a young person. She is finally holding the hand of her lifelong sweetheart and husband Lloyd G. Long, who has been waiting for his bride to join him in their heavenly home for 38 years.  Polly prayed daily for the salvation of all people and for each of us to accept the gift of Christ’s love freely offered for you and for me.                                     Polly graduated from Waupaca High School. She worked for Zwicker’s Knitting Mill and was also an avid Avon Saleswoman, earning many awards.  She attended First Assembly Church of God in both Waupaca and then Neenah.  Polly read her bible once a year front to back for over 40 years.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters: SharonRose LaDue; Ja’Nette (Alphonso) Russo; Jean Damozonio, 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother: Robert Georgeson; other relatives and friends.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Grace, Violet and Mary and her brother, Lewis.

The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home, with Pastor Cliff Cameron officiating.  The visitation will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Spencer Lake Cemetery.  The family is eternally grateful to Polly’s niece, Michelle Oppor for her servant heart and all the care she gave to Polly over the last 7 years.
