Nancy Willich, age 83, of Waupaca, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 30, 2025. She was born in Watertown on February 25, 1942 to Alfred and Ruth (Nason) Nimz. She grew up in Ripon, where her father was the pharmacist and co-owner of Ripon Drug.
Nancy enjoyed boating and fishing on the Chain, birdwatching, playing with her daughter’s dogs, and bible study.
She will be dearly missed by her children: Theodore (Julie) Willich of Florida, Christine (Nick) Burnett of Waupaca and Julia Kinlaw of Florida; grandchildren: Steven (Julie), Daniel (Jaime), Cassandra (Brett), Stephanie (Conner), Alex (Jordan), Allyson (Trevor) and Kelly; one great granddaughter, Collins; and two sisters, Margaret Byers of Washington and Ann Guyer of Florida.
Per Nancy’s wishes, no services will be held. If desired, memorial contributions can be forwarded to the Waupaca Humane Society.
The family would like to thank the staff at Little Fat Gretchens for their friendship and support during her journey with Alzheimers. To the boys at Dings Dock, thank you so much for helping Nancy enjoy time on the lake. Thank you also to Sheriff Tim Wilz and his wife Sandie for their friendship and never-ending kindness.
