Of the Wisconsin Veterans Home, formerly of Wabeno, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. He was born in Manitowoc on February 11, 1943 to the late Albian and Claire (Saduske) Kuffel. He was a graduate with the class of 1961 from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc. Mike was an over the road truck driver for many years. He was a veteran of the US Marines, serving from 1961 to 1965. On May 13, 1967 he married Roxie Ann Ross in Francis Creek, WI. Mike was an avid sportsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He will be missed by his sisters: Sue (Steve) Schultz of Waukesha, and Cindi (special friend, Troy) Kuffel of Whitelaw, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Roxie in 2002 and sister, Dianne Dewane in 2021
Private family services will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of the Wisconsin Veterans Home and Thedacare Hospice for their care of Mike. Special thanks to Chris Dumke, social worker at the Wisconsin Veterans Home.
