Michael Gregory Thielke

Michael Gregory Thielke, age 61, of Waupaca, passed away peacefully the morning of June 8th, 2021. Mike was born March 22, 1960, to the late Arthur and Anita Thielke of Suring, Wisconsin. 

The woods are where Mike found his happiness. Forestry was in Mike’s blood beginning in his early teens and throughout the entirety of his adult life. A man of an extremely strong work ethic transpired into operating a successful wood chipping business, Thielke Forestry Products. His love and stewardship in maintaining forests across Wisconsin in a sustainable manner was and will always be greatly admirable. Mike also pursued his love of farming, raising grass-fed beef cattle. Mike was a man of many talents and made friends wherever he went with his good sense of humor and wit. His strong faith was his driving force throughout life. His earthly body no longer battles cancer, he now walks with Jesus.

Mike is survived by his two daughters, Violet Thielke, Stevens Point and Rose Thielke, Ridge Spring, SC; a sister Pam (Doug) Pagel, Green Bay, and a brother Steve (Vicki) Thielke, Crivitz. Mike is preceded in death by his parents. Mike will be dearly missed by his girls, family, friends, and cattle.

The Memorial Service will be Friday, June 25, 2021 at 6 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home.  The visitation will be on Friday at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.
