Mary (Henri) Josephine Smith
Age 81, of Waupaca WI passed away on January 28, 2024. She was born May 21, 1942 in the town of Royalton to the late Bernard and Evalina (Paronto) Faskell. Her life took her to Japan for a few years, then to California and finally back home to Wisconsin in 1971. She worked throughout her life, with most of her working years spent at Hillshire Farms in New London. In retirement she focused on the hobby farm and menagerie of animals, including her beloved mule Rufus, gaited and pacing horses, donkeys, chickens, peacocks, turkeys and many more. She enjoyed life with family and friends, hunting geese, turkey and deer, taking some nice bucks along the way. She was always willing to help anyone who needed it. She loved to cook and had a passion for gardening producing an abundance of fruit and vegetables that kept her busy canning and freezing every season.
She will be missed by her husband: Ed Smith, children: Christopher Rhoden, Belinda Rhoden; grandchildren: Blake (Sarah) Rhoden, Brett Rhoden, Morgan Tadych and Michelle Tadych; sister: Deborah Schmick; brother: John Faskell; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Eileen Stern, Sally Stillman and Gloria Anderson; brothers, Bernard and William Faskell.
