Of Waupaca, age 79, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023. She was born in Portage, WI to Ben and Marion (Schofield) Kerr. Marion attended Waupaca Schools grades K-12. She married her high school sweetheart, Ronald G. Snyder on July 7, 1962, he preceded her in death on January 13, 2023.
She worked in the admitting office at Riverside Medical Center in the 1970’s. She then was the bookkeeper for Bauer Electric for 10 years and then for Waupaca Machine & Repair until her retirement. She was a life member, past board member and curator of The Waupaca Historical Society. A member of the Forest County Historical Society, a past board member and volunteer of the Waupaca Food Pantry, Bread Basket, Blood Mobil and member of the Waupaca Women’s Club. She was a member of the Crystal Lake Methodist Church, where she served on many committees and was the church historian.
She wrote five genealogies and researched family histories for many people across the country. She had several poems published nationally and in the UK. Her dream came true in 2003 when she and her husband visited her ancestral homeland, Ireland.
She is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brother: Ben Kerr and sister, Kay (Bernie) Kuenne.
Per her wishes no services will be held. Burial will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery.
