Margaret "Marge" E. (Sammer) Burford

Margaret “Marge” E. Burford, age 81, of Waupaca, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 6, 2022.  She was born in Milwaukee on August 22, 1941 to William and Elizabeth (Haeffner) Sammer.  On August 22, 1959, she was united in marriage to Dale Burford.

Marge was a very artistic and creative person, crafting broken glass pieces, painting and putting life into black and white photos with a touch of color. She was a member of the Waupaca Lioness Club for several years.  She also enjoyed gardening and walking her dog.

Marge was the loving wife of Dale Burford and devoted mother to Dale Jr. (Elaine) Burford of Wausau, Dan (Deb) Burford of Waupaca and Beth Dalgren of Stevens Point. She is survived by one granddaughter, Ashley Dalgren, brother, Bill (Carol) Sammer of Milwaukee and sister, Carolyn Lago of Waupaca.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Millie Schroeder and Nancy Johnson; brothers: Richard Sammer and Donald Sammer; and niece, Patty Jones.

According to Marge’s wishes, no services will be held.
