Margaret Hudziak Obituary

Margaret A. Hudziak, age 95, formerly of Waupaca, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026 at St. Joseph Residence in New London.  She was born in Waupaca on January 5, 1931 to Steven and Mary (Yanta) Skipchak.  On May 26, 1951 she married the love of her life, Edwin Hudziak, Sr.

She was a devoted mother of seven and worked hard on the family dairy farm.  She spent countless hours on her John Deere mower, as cutting grass was one of her favorite past-times. Margaret enjoyed planting flowers every spring, listening and dancing to polka music, and was always there to lend a helping hand. Word searches kept her mind active as well as watching Wheel of Fortune and the Price is Right. Visitors were always treated to a cup of coffee and some cookies or candy. Margaret was a woman with a strong faith, was a former CCD teacher and volunteered for numerous church picnics. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Margaret is survived by children: Edwin Hudziak, Jr., Donald (Margaret) Hudziak, Donna Hudziak, David (Rae Jean) Hudziak, Sandy (Brian) Anderson, Diane (Kenneth) Winske and Shirley (Todd) Orr; grandchildren: Michael Hudziak (significant other, Kate), Andrew (Megan) Hudziak, Diana Costello, Laura (Nick) Jackson, Jenna (Alex) Kaker, Justin (Shannon) Deuel, Brant Vistain, Brooke Vistain, Jacob (Madelaine) Anderson, Emily Anderson (significant other, Riley), Craig (Liz) Winske, Beth Winske, McKenna Orr and Zachary Orr. She is further survived by great-grandchildren: Mila and Anna Hudziak, Imani and Quinn Costello, Harlow and Jett Jackson, Ruby and Ezra Kaker, Molly and Navy Deuel, Dominic, Spencer and Logan Winske; and one great-grandson on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; daughter-in-law, Carol Hudziak; sister, Arlene Meyer; and great-granddaughter, Britta Willow Jackson.

The funeral Mass will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.  Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.  Burial will take place at Hope Cemetery in the Town of Belmont.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all of her in-home caregivers, the caring staff of Monarch Meadows, and the staff of St. Joseph Residence, where she spent her last two weeks. Memorials are appreciated to St. Maximiliam Kolbe Catholic Church.
