Mackenzie "Mack" Mayer Obituary

Mackenzie “Mack” Mayer
November 21, 1997 – April 3, 2023
Mackenzie “Mack” Mayer passed away at the age of 25 on Monday, April 3,2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. Mack was born in Knoxville, TN. on November 21, 1997, to Frank Mayer and Leigh Freeman. On June 15th, 2013, Mack moved from Tennessee to come live with his Auntie Laurie, Uncle Tom, and best friends/cousins Sawyer “Kayco”, Jesse, and Caty in Wild Rose, WI. Then in 2021, the family moved to Waupaca, WI where he enjoyed being the co-captain of the pontoon on Bailey Lake. He loved to go on long road trips in his bus to visit family and friends out of state. Mack graduated from Wild Rose High School in 2017 and continued his education there until he was 21 years old. After High School, he enjoyed staying home with the help of Miss Michelle to care for him.
Mack was such a beautiful gift and blessing to our family. Every day, Mack filled our lives with laughter, music, inside jokes, special sayings, songs, and of course, The Brewers and The Packers playing on THREE T.V’s at a time. Everyone who was part of Mack’s world and truly knew him had a unique greeting, song or saying that was special to them. We will all miss his happy “chicken wings” and his “cuggs” (between a choke and a hug).
Mack is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by Laura Sullivan-Nelsen, Tom Nelsen, Sawyer Nelsen, Jess Sullivan, and Caty (Ian) Grayskull. Parents: Frank (Dawn) Mayer, Leigh Freeman, and brother Benjamin Mayer. Grandparents: Beverly Maszk, Cheri and Ted Nelsen, Steven (Ann) Mayer, Nola and Jerry Sell. Great Aunts: Jamie Cross, Lisa (Larry) Senesac, Linda (Marty) Augustine, Susan Maszk, Heidi Conte, Sandy (Rick) Mayer, Christine Mayer. Great Uncles: Tracy (Jennifer) Cross, David (Debbie) Mayer, Paul Mayer, Aunt Elizabeth Mayer, and Uncle Joe (Nicki) Mayer. Cousins: Breana Williams, Cole Mayer, Hailey Vincil, and Carson Mayer. Mack is further survived by many other wonderful Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Special friends: Michelle Cartwright, Lauri Wood-Heise, Amy Madison, Brandy and Rob Lennert, Austin Lennert, Liz Dohr, Miss Marcia Reindeau, and Chaplain Terri Hernandez.
Mack is proceeded in death by: Great Grandparents: Eugene and Elizabeth Maszk, Clarence and Delores Mayer, and Karen Cross. Great Aunts: Cathleen Pendleton and Jeanne Pearson, Great Uncles: Jeffrey Maszk and Gary Mayer. Uncle Bruce Jenkins and Cousin AndyΩ Pearson.
