Lonny J. Bigler, age 84, went to be with Jesus on Friday, August 18, 2023, at his home on Long Lake, Waushara Co. He was born in Sheboygan, WI on March 2, 1939 to John and Carol (Christenson) Bigler. He graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1957, then attended UW-Sheboygan. On July 18, 1959, he was united in marriage to Carol Barts McGlade.
Lonny had a variety of careers including supervisor at Kohler, factory worker at Bemis, he worked at Sheboygan Paint Company, operated a family dairy farm, was a manager at the Fleet Farm service station, and rounded out his working years as a bus driver for the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. He loved woodworking and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter, Darlene (Paul) Patyk of Eagan, MN and son, Randy (Polly) Bigler of Wild Rose; granddaughters, Ashley and Kayla Patyk; siblings: Jon Bigler of Waldo; Tom (Darlene) Bigler, Ricky (Nancy) Bigler and Carol Ann Whitman, all of Sheboygan Falls.
Lonny was preceded in death by children: Dan, Scott, Don and Connie as well as his brother, Jerome.
The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Faith Community Church, N2541 Cty Rd K, Waupaca, with Pastor Josh Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. A private burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
