Lisa Phillips Obituary

Lisa Jo Phillips passed away Friday, April 14th, peacefully at her home in Waupaca surrounded by loving family. She was born on September 11th, 1961 in Rockford IL to the late Donald Smith and Marcia Burton. Lisa is survived by her loving partner Patric Stahl and children Nicole (Brad) and Travis, as well as her three grandchildren Samantha, Carter, and Adalyn. She is further survived by her four siblings Deborah (Tom), Christine (Steve), Darcel (Rick) and Scott (Wendy) who loved their baby sister with all their hearts.

Lisa's caring personality and ability to make instant connections with anyone she met were the basis of many of her long-lasting friendships and relationships with people who will miss her dearly. She spent much of her life and career caring for others as a home health aide, caregiver, and most recently in her role supporting veterans through her position at the VA mental health unit in Milwaukee.

She loved visiting and spending time with her daughter, son-in-law and grandbabies and always had a smile on her face when she was holding or cuddling with her grandchildren. She consistently found joy in saying she loved her grandchildren to the moon and back and always will. She enjoyed playing cribbage and talking with her son about their respective days and faith. She loved being outdoors and going for car rides with her partner and spending time with his family and grandchildren who adored their Grandma Lisa. She also enjoyed crafting with her family, sharing her love and joy of music, and her faith in God and Jesus.

She inspired many with her tremendous strength and is leaving behind on this earth an amazing legacy filled with love, many wonderful memories, and traditions that will live on. She will be terribly missed by many and looking down upon all of us from heaven.

A celebration of life will be held for Lisa on April 30th from 1-5 pm at Davians in Menomonee Falls.  It will be a party with heavy appetizers and drinks served, just as she would have wanted.
