Lars A. Mackey

Lars A. Mackey, age 21, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 1, 2021.  He was born in Waupaca on October 10, 1999 to Rick Mackey and Kaye (Clappes) Abhold.  Lars had a heart of gold, always putting other’s needs in front of his own.  He was a kind and loving son with a gentle soul.  Lars had a variety of interests including playing video games, listening to music, writing his own rap music, and fishing – and we can’t forget his love for coffee!  He will be missed dearly.

Survivors include: mom, Kaye Abhold of Waupaca; dad, Rick Mackey of Waupaca; siblings: Devin Dumbleton of Ogdensburg, Maxwell Mackey of Waupaca, Danielle Dumbleton of Waupaca and Autumn Abhold of Waupaca; grandmother, Lorraine Clappes of Ogdensburg; niece and nephews: Blake Tieaskie, Lily Dumbleton and David Holder.  He is also survived by aunts and uncles: Vicky Chambers, Douglas Clappes, Jr., Judy (Neil) Robenhagen, Cindy Thiemer, Thomas Thiemer, Lori Thiemer and Robert Mackey; cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: paternal grandmother, Marilyn Hull; maternal grandfather, Douglas Clappes, Sr.; aunt and uncle Cynthia and Chuck Larson.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Maple Crest Funeral Home.
