Of Waupaca, age 81, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022. He was born in Appleton on July 23, 1940 to the late Walter and Edna (Teal) Kamp. On December 5, 1959 he married Carol Christensen. Larry was an active member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church of Waupaca. He worked for many years as a car salesman at Meiers Rudolph in Appleton and Kawell in New London. Larry was a Wisconsin Sports Enthusiast. He especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Larry was a loving and devoted husband and father and will be missed by his wife: Carol; children: Deb (Dennis) Kamp-Schroeder; Bryan (Cindy) Kamp; Dawn (Glen) Oberstadt; John (Kim) Kamp; Mary -Ellen “Meme” (Bart) Peterson; Susie (Jeff) Eggers; grandchildren: Karena (Andrew), Joshua, Makya (fiancé: Micah); Jolene, Melissa (Pat), Rachel (Alex) Elizabeth, Gage, Jak, Justin (Amy) Lauren (fiancé: Justin) Scottie (Shawna), Jessica, Justin (fiancée, Victoria), Alicia, Andy and Alex; great grandchildren: Aiden, Logan, Braeden, Elliana, Victor, Stella, Lawrence, Theo, Jupiter, Maia, Astor, Brandon, Tyler, Kenny, Gavyn, Brynlee, Lena, McKenna, Veronica; great great grandchild: Elayna and another expected in June; sister-in-law: Dorothy Kamp; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Doug, sister, Jackie (Marv) Bacon and grandson, Ty.
The Funeral Service will be on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, 1120 Evans St., Waupaca, with Rev. Ron Siemers officiating. The visitation will be on Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church’s Organ Fund.
