Kathryn J. (Guillen) Mork

Kathryn J. Mork, age 90, of Scandinavia, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021.  She was born in Iola, WI on January 14, 1931 to the late Jesse and Genevieve (Gunderson) Guillen.  On October 6, 1951 she was united in marriage to Julian Mork, and together they raised six children and fostered numerous more.  They also hosted a couple of foreign exchange students.

Kathryn enjoyed a variety of hobbies including knitting, doing crossword puzzles, cooking, baking and watching baseball games (especially the Brewers).  She loved visiting with her grandchildren and was also active in different church groups.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Julian of Scandinavia; children: Leslieann (Jerry) Rasmussen of Scandinavia, Jeffrey Mork of Iola, David (Kris) Mork of Scandinavia, Jay (Mary) Mork of Scandinavia, Dell (Shelley) Mork of Waupaca, and Lisa (Mark) McQueen of Plainfield, IL.  She is further survived by 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Kathryn was preceded in death by a son, Tommy; brother, John Guillen; grandson, Ryan Mork; and a niece, Mary Guillen Fischer.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2021 at Scandinavia Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will take place in the Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
