June M. Suprise Stecker, age 92, of Waupaca, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at ThedaCare Medical Center of Waupaca. She was born in Clintonville on June 5, 1929 to Ben and Elona (Brieske) Rouse.
She was united in marriage to Frank Suprise, Jr. and they were blessed with seven children. She was a homemaker for much of her life while also helping on the family farm. With her caring and compassionate demeanor, becoming a CNA was natural, working at the Wisconsin Veterans Home and in home health care. June excelled as a baker, cook and would can many vegetables. She was a lifelong member of the Badger Homemakers, where she made many wonderful friends.
June will be dearly missed by all and is survived by her children: Judy (Duaine) Moser of MO, Mary (John) Raasch of Shawano, Carol (Michael) Weller of Almond and Vicki Behle of Amherst; grandchildren: Tammy (Greg) Falconer, Chris (Dawn) Moser, Sarah (Kevin) Miller, Andrew (Karen) Moser, Shawn Raasch, Shanda (Shawn) Stemper, Brandy (Howard) Abhold, Zach (Lauren) Weller and Tyler (Kate) Suprise. She is further survived by 16 great-grandchildren and siblings: Harriet Gibbons of Fond du Lac and James (Betty) Rouse of Shawano.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Suprise, Jr., second husband, Kenneth Stecker, infant son, Joseph Suprise, sons, Gary and Dennis Suprise, brothers, Lee and Elmer, sister, Dorothy and son-in-law, James Behle.
The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, with Fr. Xavier Santiago officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will take place at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
