Joseph J. Filen

Of Pine River, age 59, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024 with his family by his side.  He was born in Appleton on July 7, 1964 to the late James and Marie (Brouillard) Filen.  On June 10, 2006 he married Dawn Fraedrich.  Joe was an avid hunter and fisher with many trophy mounts for proof.  Joe was a proud veteran of the Navy.

He will be sadly missed  by his wife: Dawn; children: Brandon, Josie and Jed Filen; sister: Jean (Mike) Pawlowski; brother: Jeff (Diana) Filen; mother-in-law: Arice Fraedrich; brother-in-law: Lee Fraedrich; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, LaVern Fraedrich.

There  will be a visitation on Wednesday, July 3 2024 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home.  Miliary honors will be held at 4 p.m. following the visitation.
