Joan "Cooky" L. (Young) Enerson

Joan “Cooky” L. Enerson, age 77, of Waupaca, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at home.  She was born in Wadena, MN on November 2, 1942 to Joseph and Dora (Breid) Young.  Joan’s passion was cooking and her recipes were published in several cook books.  Her other favorite pastime was thrift shopping and rummaging, and she had a keen eye for antiques and Depression glass.  Joan loved to read, watch the nature out her window, and adored her cats Bizzy and Bucky.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Enerson of Waupaca; daughter, Amy Mousley (fiancé Carl Vatore) of New York; step-daughter, Rachel (Dale) Nelson of Waupaca; grandchildren: Emmet and Eden Carr, Wyatt and Jeffrey Nelson, and Logan Vatore.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lisa; and sister, Nancy.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Maple Crest Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
