Joan (Tremblay) Valcourt

Joan Valcourt, age 82, of Waupaca, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 28, 2025. She was born in Providence, RI on November 8, 1942 to Joseph and Margaret Tremblay. She was a homemaker all of her life, caring for her six children, then grandchildren.

Joan enjoyed playing slot machines and bingo.  She loved sitting in her rocking chair, watching her favorite shows, especially Friends and the Big Bang Theory.  She was a huge fan of pro wrestling.  Joan loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and her dogs Poochie and Shelby.

She will be dearly missed by her children: Doris (William) Clarke, Alfred Valcourt, Robert (Beatrice) Valcourt, Clifford Valcourt and Carol Valcourt; son-in-law, Mark Behm; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Joan was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Behm; two brothers and two sisters.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2025 at the Maple Crest Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
