Jeremy Roe Obituary

Jeremy John Roe, 51, born to John and Brenda Roe on December 5, 1972 in Waupaca, Wisconsin, passed away at 4:30am on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Jeremy was a real, fun loving guy with a quirky smile. He loved to have fun and laugh. "Jerm" (as his family called him) in his later life told about the pranks and mischief he got into during his high school years and still graduated high school on time in 1991.

He loved hands on projects and had a keen eye for carpentry that he learned from his Papa "Jim" (Sherm Schneider). He engaged himself most of his life in construction and up until the time of his passing had worked for his "best and high school prankster friend", Will Seitz. Will taught Jerm about electrical things and Jerm taught Will about construction. A real team!!

One thing we knew about Jerm was that he loved his family. Jeremy is survived by his parents, John and Brenda. He had four awesome daughters that loved him so much: Shelby Roe (fiancé Jason Krueger), Bryana Brette Roe, Haylee Roe and Payton Roe. He was also a fun-lovin' Grampa to Miles, Karter, Ashton and Justin. He is also survived by one half-sister, Leah Kobs (Ryan) and Jaedon Sorensen, nephew. Jeremy also has many aunts, uncles and cousins scattered throughout the country.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sherm and Jinnie Schneider and Ray and Pat Roe, also his uncle, Roger Schneider.

Jeremy had a chronic case of diabetes that was really taking a toll on his body; was in constant pain and getting much worse. He was still trying to go to work daily, but His Lord and Saviour had different plans for him. He had grown up in the faith and as a 4 year old traveling with his parents driving truck was trying to be an influence for Jesus. One day dining out east with dad, he was sitting next to a guy in the restaurant and told the guy, "Jesus doesn't like it when you smoke!" The guy said, "ya, I know!" He had wandered away from his faith a portion of his life but came back to a relationship with Jesus 3 years ago and realized it was time to stop "wandering"! He realized the time he wasted and wanted to do it the right way. So we know that we will be seeing him in heaven one day when we all get together again!

There will be no formal funeral service for Jeremy as he never wanted to be the center of attention. The Maple Crest Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jeremy's family will be having a memorial open house in honor of Jeremy on Sunday, November 10th, 2-5pm at First Assembly of God Church, 1420 Berlin Street, Waupaca, WI.
