Jean N. Heniff, age 87, of Saxeville, age 87, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2022. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 14, 1934. On March 24, 1973 she married the love of her life and best friend, John "Jack" Heniff.
Jack had spent his summers since high school at Long Lake, WI. After retirement, Jean and Jack bought a home and 10 acres ½ mile from the lake, becoming the paradise they called "Happy Heniffs".
Every week, she would get together with her good friends Judy Trudeau and Naoma Anderson to play board games. She volunteered for a variety of organizations including: the Board of the Leon Saxeville Library, Community Blood Drive, ThedaCare board of volunteers, district chair Lake Winnebago and Partners Wisconsin Health Association. Jean served as financial secretary for Crystal Lake UMC and Parfreyville UMC, where she also taught Sunday school.
She will be greatly missed by children: John Heniff Jr., Mary Tueth, and Rick Heniff, grandchildren: Joe, Chris, Kurt and Rebecca Heniff; great granddaughter: Annette Heniff (beloved daughter of John Heniff III).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack and grandson, John Heniff III.
The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 12 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. The visitation will be on Thursday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the Waushara Animal Shelter.
