Jean A. (Peterson) Heger

Jean A. Heger, age 74, of Waupaca, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at ThedaCare Medical Center - Waupaca.  She was born September 30, 1947 to Clarence and Lucille (Belmore) Peterson.  She was an animal lover and rescuer, always feeding the critters that came into her yard.  Jean also enjoyed watching soap operas and Fox News.

She is survived by: Shane Jones (Dana Maves); Audra Jones (Kelly Baehman); Glen and Rose Heger; brother, Ray Peterson; nephew, Scott Simons; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Jean is further survived by special friends: Lynda Morey, Marge and Bill Sarnowski, Nancy and Wayne Handrich, Pat Thompson; and many more friends and neighbors who adored and loved her like family. Jean also leaves behind her beloved dog, Skippy.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon Heger; son, Mark Jones; granddaughter, Lacey Jones; sister, Joanne Simons; brothers, Ronald and David Peterson; nephew, Brian Peterson; and niece, Sally Simons.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 1 - 6 p.m. at Jean's home, 404 5th Street, Waupaca, WI.
