Janice J. (Kuska) Lytie

Janice J. Lytie, age 84, of Waupaca, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. She was born in Green Bay on August 29, 1938 to William and Rose (Gillette) Kuska. On October 30, 1954 she was united in marriage to Alden Lytie and together they had five children. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2001.

Janice and Alden enjoyed traveling together in their 5th wheel camper, often leaving for weeks at a time. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for seven years. Gardening was a favorite hobby and she loved to create new flower beds. Many people would remember her from "Bee Creative" craft supply store, which she owned and operated inside the Waupaca Woods Mall. Janice loved to spend time with her family - children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the ultimate "Queen of Christmas", always making Christmas Eve a magical time for her family.

She will be dearly missed by her children: Jeff (LeeAnn) Lytie of Kewaskum, Susan Lytie-Schroeder of Waupaca, Mary (Donn) Pierce of DePere, David (Susan) Lytie of Scandinavia and Jon Lytie of Waupaca; 12 grandchildren and 20 great children. Janice is also survived by a sister, Carol Nelsen of Green Bay and sister-in-law, Judith Obryan of TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alden; brother, James; sisters, Berniece Kerkes and Lucille VanDeHey; and son-in-law, Don Schroeder.

Per Janice's wishes, private family services will be held. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband Alden at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca.
