James “Jim” Robert Heschke, age 64, of Waupaca, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 29, 2020. Jim was born in Antigo, WI on October 23, 1955, the son of Mary and the late Alvin Heschke. He was married to Cindy Beiersdorf on August 10, 1974. Jim and Cindy have resided in the Waupaca area for the last 43 years. Jim briefly worked at the Waupaca Foundry, and then he became an owner/operator for various trucking companies. For the last 27 years, he owned and ran Hwy 22 Auto and Truck Repair. Jim enjoyed the outdoors, 4-wheeling, fishing, camping and tending to his cows. Jim also enjoyed spending time with his many friends, his wife, daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy of Waupaca; mother, Mary of Antigo; daughters, Pam (Teri) Krusa of Waupaca and Lisa (Tom) Wanserski of Iola; grandchildren: Nicholas and Brennan Krusa, Destiny Heschke (fiancé Tanner Krueger), Zoey and Marissa Wanserski. Jim is further survived by siblings: Vickie (Lee) Benes of TN, Susie (Herb) Hitz of TN, Bill (Karen) Heschke of Scandinavia, Terri (Tom) Eldridge of Wausau and Lori (Don) Lutzow of Antigo, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and other relatives; and special friends: Lloyd Stewart, Curly Jansen, Luke Pankow, Dave Ciesielczyk, Toby, and many more.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, September 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Wildflowers Restaurant in King, WI. A luncheon will be served. Those attending the celebration are asked to share their memories of Jim. He was a great man whom touched many people’s lives and he will be greatly missed.
