June 5, 1944 ~ September 12, 2020 (age 76) 76 Years Old

James Peskie Obituary

Of Waupaca, age 76, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at his home. He fought a courageous battle and will be missed by many. Jim was born in Stevens Point on June 5, 1944 to the late Donald and Dorothy (Wanty) Peskie. He graduated from Almond Bancroft High School.  On October 30, 1965 he married his wife, Judy.  Jim worked for 44 years at the Waupaca Foundry.  He had been a player and manager of the Lanark Baseball Team.  He was a great polka dancer, who was never without a partner.  Jim was a Brewer and Packer fan.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, boating, water skiing, camping, snowmobiling and scuba diving.  In his retirement years he enjoyed watching the birds. 

He will be sadly missed by his wife: Judy; children: Kaye (Terry) Mykel, Kelly (Marty Schroeder) Pomerenke, Jim Peskie and Kim Fehrmann; grandchildren: Karen (Justin) Schweinsberg, Chad (Emily) Mykel, Jacob Jeske, Jaden Jeske, Kirstin (Donovan Burke) Fehrmann, Korina (Tyler) Bublitz; siblings: Debbie (Jim) Toya, Lorrie (Jeanne) Peskie, Tim (Thelma) Peskie, John Peskie; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie and sister, Jean.

There will be a Memorial Service on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca.  Friends and family may gather from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.  Please wear a mask and practice social distancing. We will be limiting the amount of people allowed into the building at one time and limiting the amount of people for the service.  Everyone is welcome after the service to Courtside Sports Bar, 2181 S. Apple Tree Lane, Waupaca.
