James Ferg Obituary

Of Manawa, age 65, passed away from Covid, complicated by Parkinson’s disease, on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Manawa Nursing Home.  James was born on May 27, 1955, in New London, son of the late Wesley and Eunice (Kostrak) Ferg.  James worked construction his whole life, and was a heavy equipment operator for Pheifer Brothers Construction.  He married his high school sweetheart, Cynthia Randall on May 4, 1974. They were married for 42 years and were blessed with two children, James G. and Carie.

He graduated from Little Wolf High School in 1973.  James loved the outdoors and nature. He loved hunting, tractor pulling, fishing, fabricating and making trailers, and he loved his family and the Lord.

James is survived by Cynthia (Randall) Ferg, children: James G. (Erin) and Carie Ferg; grandchildren: Autumn and Skye Ferg, Gavyn Ferg-Amundson, Athena Ferg-Poleman; sisters and brother: Nancy Ferg, Jay (Vicky) Ferg and Wendy (Paul) Nichols.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Seeger and brother, John Ferg.

There will be a family graveside service at Park Cemetery in Ogdensburg on Friday, November 27, 2020. There will be a luncheon and Celebration of Life at Little Wolf Town Hall, E6325 County Road N, Manawa, on Friday, November 27, 2020 from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.  Everyone is welcome for the luncheon gathering, it would be much appreciated if everyone would wear a mask. 

The family wishes to thank the Manawa Nursing Home, special thanks to all those that gave James extra help and care in his affliction.  We want to thank Dr. Charlie Rathjen and the Maple Crest Funeral Home.
