James E. Olsen

Of Waupaca, age 83, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021.  He was born in Wisconsin Rapids on January 9, 1938 to the late Richard and Irene (Brehm) Olsen. Jim’s father moved from Denmark, settling in Wisconsin Rapids.  On October 6, 1962 he married Beatrice Brown.  Jim was a proud veteran, serving in the Navy on the USS Turner from 1956 until 1960.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  He was a truck driver for all of this working career.  Jim enjoyed fishing and deer hunting.

He is survived by his wife: Bea; children: Connie (Kevin) Long and Scott (Sara) Olsen; grandchildren: Skye, Shane, Keith, Brenda and Brett; brothers: Richard (Carol) Olsen, Rodney (Teri) Dassow, sister: Betty Anderson, other relatives and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ray Anderson.
