Helen L. (Walker) Ellingsworth

Helen L. Ellingsworth, age 85, of Waupaca, passed into everlasting life, on Monday, December 2, 2024. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Califern and Harry Walker. Helen was a proud graduate of Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

On December 29, 1962, Helen married the love of her life, William A. “Bill” Ellingsworth Sr. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, where they raised three boys William Jr. (Bill), Michael, and Francis III and enjoyed 39 years of devotion to one another.

Family was the most important part of Helen's life, and she was a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She had one granddaughter named Abigail who is daughter to Francis and his wife Jessica Ellingsworth. Helen loved swimming, traveling, hanging out with friends on the Chain O’ Lakes, working with her family at The Grandview Beach Club and at The Library Lounge Park Motel, and writing children's books. A woman of incredible work ethic, Helen was a mother, friend, grandma, business owner, real estate broker, swimmer, and author. Helen's unconditional love extended beyond her family to so many others across the community.

Helen’s legacy lives on in her sons, grandchild, and all those whose lives she touched with her love, generosity, strength, and devotion to her faith. She will be deeply missed but always remembered for the warmth, kindness, and joy she brought to everyone around her.

Survived by her loving family; children: William Jr. “Bill”, Michael (Brenda) Ellingsworth, Francis III (Jessica) and their daughter: Abby Ellingsworth, many neighbors, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ellingsworth Sr., and her parents. We cherish the memories spent with Helen and will continue to carry on her legacy every day.

The celebration of Helen’s life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, located at N2845 Shadow Rd, Waupaca. This will start at 2pm for close friends and family. A reception will follow to celebrate her life. This will be located at Foxfire Golf Club at Par4 Resort, 201 Foxfire Dr, Waupaca, WI 54981 at 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ellingsworth Memorial Fund at Maple Crest Funeral Home in Helen’s name.
