Of the Wisconsin Veterans Home, age 101, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. She was born in Gresham on March 21, 1924, to the late William and Lena (Neumeier) Otto. On November 9, 1946, she married Joseph Pleshek, he preceded her in death on October 28, 2016. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gladys was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega. She worked at Shawano County Rationing Board Office. She later worked for the Weyauwega High School hot lunch program. She also worked at St. Vincent de Paul for 17 years.
She will be missed by her daughters: Ronda Woltersdorf (Don Berra), Mary Jo (Perry) Pleshek-Stone, Marsha (Mark) Gerlach; Grandchildren: Tracy Stout, Kelly (Jason) Stephenson, Krista (Al) Olson and Ryan Lubinski; Great Grandchildren: Taylor Martin (Jake Zwerg), Mya Olson and Lucas Olson, and Alex (Bitty) Stephenson & Zach Stephenson, Tashaina Stout and Carmen Lubinski (Alex Allhands); Great-Great Grandchildren: Alex and Nour Stout, and Silas Allhands. Plus, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Vern, Hilary, Leo and Lloyd. Plus, her sisters, Katherine, Loretta and Lucille.
The family sends our heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI for the wonderful care of our mom, Gladys. Also, a big thank you to Brook and staff at Heartland Hospice for their loving care and professionalism.
The Memorial Service will be on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The visitation will be on Saturday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
