Gary Emil Marta  

Age 67, born on April 24, 1955 to Emil and Lois Marta. Gary married his high school sweet heart Peggy Poris on April 26, 1974. Family was very important to him; he was incredibly proud and supportive. He spent his days, taking multiple trips with his wife Peggy and playing with his grandsons. He also enjoyed bowling in a couple of local men’s leagues, coaching the high school bowling teams, fishing, hunting and motorcycle rides with his wife and friends. He was very strong in his faith and lived to serve others first.

During his career of 45 years, he had worked for various office machine service centers in Waupaca and the Fox Cities area. During this time, he was able to open his own businesses.  In 2018 he retired from Rhyme Business Products. 

Gary is survived by his wife: Peggy of 48 years; daughter: Stacey and son-in-law: Matt Jenson, along with his grandsons: Owen and Drew; sisters: Roseann Kopetsky, Jackie Marta Griswold, Cheryl (Bill) Tracy; brother: David (Pamela) Marta; sister-in-law: Barbara (Kelly) Lehl; brother-in-law: Robert (Laurie) Poris, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Lois Marta, uncles, Bud (Janice) Pekel, Dick Pekel, brothers-in-law, Paul Kopetsky and Gary Griswold, nephew, Jeremy Portmann and father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Rose Poris.

The Memorial Service will be on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 12 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, E1887 King Rd, Waupaca.  The visitation will be on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral. 

He will be deeply missed by his loving family and dear friends.
