Evelyn M. (Johnson) Smith

Of Waupaca, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.  She was born in Waupaca on December 23, 1935 to the late John and Esther (Geiger) Johnson.  Evelyn was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed collecting stamps, her cats, feeding birds and listening to country western music.  She also was an avid reader and letter writer to her pen pals.

She will be missed by her children: John (Cynthia); Jerry (Christina) Kathy Ritchie; David (Debbi) and Daniel (Janell); 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd and her grandson, Tanner.

The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home.  The visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.  The family would like to thank the staff of Bethany Home, Park Vista and Thedacare Hospice.
