Doris E (Oelschlager) Weed

Doris Edith Weed (née Oelschlager), age 89, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, in Waupaca, Wisconsin. Born on May 23, 1936, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to the late Hans and Leoma (Juedes) Oelschlager.  Doris lived a life marked by creativity, individuality, and a deep connection to her artistic vision. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Weed, and their son, Andrew Weed.

She is lovingly remembered by her son and daughter in law- Del and Dorene Weed; Grandsons: Dustin (Haley) Weed and Gram (Kayla) Weed; Great-Grandchildren: Andi, Dakota, Nora and Madelyn Weed.

An accomplished artist known for her distinctive style and bold use of color, Doris made a lasting impression in the art world with her celebrated series "Women with Attitude", her beautiful intricately designed sweaters and her amazing quilts. Her presence will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

A celebration of Doris’s life will be held at Hidden Waters Golf Course, E4480 WI 22/54, Waupaca, WI 54981, Friday September 12th from 2:00 to 6:00pm.
