Waupaca, Wisconsin- David Robert Schmidlkofer, age 72, passed away on Saturday, October 8th, at Chippewa Falls Veterans Home in Chippewa Falls, WI.
Dave was born August 27, 1950 in Stevens Point, WI to the late Robert and Gwendolyn Schmidlkofer. Dave was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the United States Army.
Dave enjoyed spending time restoring his beloved El Camino, going to the casino, and watching the Green Bay Packers play.
Dave is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Barbara (Schmidlkofer) Echols, and nephew Quinn Echols.
Dave is survived by brother-in-law Ken Echols of San Antonio, TX; niece Shelby Gabrielson of San Antonio, Texas; niece Heather (Terralis) Gibson of Fredericksburg, Virginia; and twin great-nieces Reiley and Hailey Gibson of Fredericksburg, Virginia. Dave is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 14th at Maple Crest Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. A time of Visitation will precede at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held directly after service at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI.
Dave's family would like to thank his caregivers at Chippewa Falls Veterans Home, for their dedicated, devoted service and heartfelt care they provided during his stay. We would also like to thank the workers at St. Croix Hospice.
