Darleen M. Larsen, age 71, of Weyauwega, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, July 20, 2020. She was born in Waupaca on March 5, 1949 to Clitus and Mary (Dailey) Georgeson. Darleen worked for several years as a store keeper for Weyauwega Star Dairy and later as a dietary aid at Park Vista. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Packers and the Brewers. Her grandchildren and great-grandsons were her pride and joy, and she also loved her puppy, Junneb.
Survivors include three children: Julie (James) Kolonick of Waupaca, Terri (Gerard) Knaus of Weyauwega, and Todd (Michele) Larsen of Weyauwega; six grandchildren: Timothy (Katie) Kolonick of Camp Douglas, Tara (Christopher) Nesbit of Neenah, Daniel (Rebecca) Kolonick of Waupaca, Katelyn Kolonick (special friend, Jarett) of Weyauwega, Christa Larsen (fiancé Cole) of Green Bay, and Jonathan Larsen of Wisconsin Rapids; and four great-grandsons: Owen Nesbit, Wyatt Kolonick, Kallen Kolonick, and Ezra Kolonick. Darleen is further survived by brothers-in-law: Richard Jenks of Saxeville, Faye Larsen of New London, and Terry Herter of New London; sisters-in-law: Janet Doughty of New London, Janice (Ed) Moeller of Northport, and Mickey (Wilson) Magreder of West Virginia; former spouse, Theodore Larsen of Waupaca, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents; siblings: Charlotte Jenks, Shirley (Howard) Minks, and Donald Georgeson; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ruby and Philip Larsen; brothers and sisters-in-law: Verlea (Russell) Barden, Donald Larsen, Phyllis (Leo) Guyette, Laverne (Marge) Larsen, Sandra Herter, David Doughty, Annie Larsen, Jackie Larsen, and David Larsen.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church of Waupaca. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Masks will be required to enter church and social distancing will be strictly enforced. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Park Cemetery in Ogdensburg.
