Danny “Dan” Bockin, born September 6, 1966, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, at the age of 58. Dan was a devoted son, father, grandfather, and loyal friend whose warmth and generosity touched everyone he met. He carried a compassionate spirit into every room, brightening days with his quick wit and unwavering kindness. For 25 years, Dan worked at the Waupaca Foundry, when retired he spent a lot of his time helping out others and always keeping himself busy. He enjoyed “taking the scenic route” with his truck, some say he loved that truck more than life itself. He is survived by his mother, Blanch Bockin; his daughter, Kaylee Bockin and her daughter: Eva Bockin; his son, James Bockin and his son: Jackson Bockin. Dan also leaves behind cousins and lifelong friends Debra (Daniel) Buckholt and family; his best friend, Bethany Nowland, and her family; best friends Brandon and Kimberly Brehmer and their family; along with many other cousins, friends, and loved ones. Dan was preceded in death by his father, Larry Bockin, whose memory he cherished and honored throughout his life. A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share stories and honor the remarkable man he was.
