Bruce Lindenmeyer, age 66, of Waupaca, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. He was born on June 9, 1959, in Illinois to the late Carl and Virginia (Ecklund) Lindenmeyer. On June 20, 1981, Bruce married Mary Erickson - marking 45 years of marriage this June. He dedicated his entire career to working as a semi-truck driver and took great pride in his work. He retired from Dayton Freight in 2024 after many years on the road.
Bruce had a deep love for motorcycles and especially enjoyed riding his Harley to Tomahawk for the Fall Ride with his friends and family. Known to his family as “Bruce the Moose,” a nickname given to him by his sister in childhood, the name stuck with him throughout his life. He also enjoyed following politics and was always up for a good debate. He cherished time spent in his man cave with his children, often using his father’s tools to refinish family heirlooms and carry on traditions that meant so much to him. He also shared a special bond with his beloved pets, Moose, Marley, and Mikey who were his loyal companions.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Mary; son, David (Andrea) Lindenmeyer; daughter, Beth (Gary Schmit) Lindenmeyer; granddaughter, Makaela (Aiden Weigand) Hicks; sister: Alice (Keith) Burkholder; brother, Brian (Denise) Lindenmeyer; His best friend Brian Cernanski and little buddy Austin Boelter; as well as other cherished relatives and friends.
There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
