Arlene "Pony Lady" (Lewin) Wohlrabe

Of Readfield, age 94, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024.  She was born in Winchester on December 19, 1929 to the late Alfred and Paulina (Luedke) Lewin.  On May 14, 1955 she married Leonard Wohlrabe.  Arlene was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Readfield. She was owner and operator of A & L Pony Rides.  She enjoyed fishing, hunting, loved her flowers and crafting. She made many Christmas wreaths over the years.  Arlene especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and babysitting for them.   

She will be missed by her children: Russell (Hazel); Darwin “Red” (Sheryl); Leroy; Darlene Mortensen; Dianne Danke and Donald (Shannon); grandchildren: Shane, Ricky, Stacy, Steve, Kelly, Jesse, Ashley, Heather, Anthony, Krystalle and Tawsha; step sons: Earl Wohlrabe and Leonard (special friend, Shelly) Wohlrabe.  She is also survived by great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.  In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her son, David, step son, Bob, grandson, David, great grandson, Jade and brothers, Allen, Lester and Lawrence Lewin.

The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Readfield.  The visitation will be on Wednesday at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca from 4 until 7 pm and again on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Wolf River Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.  The family would like to thank the staff of Thedacare Appleton Hospital as well as Lakeland Care for their excellent care of our mom.
