Anthony R. Wanty

Anthony R. Wanty, age 64, of Waupaca, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at UW-Hospital in Madison.  He was born in Iola on January 12, 1957 to Raymond and Beverly (Gall) Wanty.  Anthony attended technical school and received training on building transmissions.  He spent most of his career as an auto mechanic and also enjoyed collecting old cars as a hobby.

Anthony is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Talia (Nate) Abrahamson and their children, Rylan and Harper; and a daughter, Tonirae Wanty and her daughter, Maud.  Also surviving are six siblings: Glen (Marion) Wanty, Phillip Wanty, Ronald Wanty, Mary (John) Mason, Kathy Wanty and David (Alice) Wanty.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Wanty.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 1 – 3 p.m. Friday, December 10 at the Maple Crest Funeral Home.
