Andrew Jonathon Heger, 54, of Ogdensburg and Waupaca, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2023, at his parent’s home after struggling with a long illness. Andrew was born on October 24, 1968, to Ken and Charlotte Heger in Waupaca, WI. He was predeceased by his brother, Scott Heger and grandmothers, Dorothy Heger and Edna Heschke, and beloved dog Thor. He is survived by parents: Ken and Charlotte Heger, sisters: Amy Schwersenska and Holly (Russ) Rolfs-Jandrt; nieces and nephews: John (Andrea) Heger, Marissa (Ron) Quella, Jacob (Brittany) Schwersenska, Shelby (Brent) Schwersenska, Justin (Amy) Rolfs, Jessup Rolfs, and Sawyer Rolfs; and many great-nephews and nieces (the Little’s); and his partner in crime Lisa (Ryan) Price.
Throughout his life Andrew enjoyed telling stories of his employment at the Oakwood Inn, MR Ceramics, and Presto Products where he was employed for 26 years. His stories extended to reminiscing on his travels to his favorite places including Gulf Shores, Michigan, Alaska, and his parents’ cabin, he was a very humorous storyteller. He was a collector of many things, favorites included Mercedes Benz, Christmas ornaments, and Marylin Monroe. He enjoyed painting and was a wonderful artist. Andrew was known lovingly as “Unckie” to nieces, nephews, and friends of and will be missed enormously.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be announced in the Waupaca Buyer’s Guide and on Facebook.
